I was going through the Wattmag Issue #6 right about now and came across the Shaun Allan Give away.

I article required me to comment my Worst Christmas memory and I had just the right now. My only Christmas worst memory.
I began typing and before I knew I had a long description to the incident. I tried to post it on my Wattpad application but it wouldn't accept it. I had a rough Idea it was long so I copied it and email it to myself. I figured the inline comments had a limit to used characters .
I opened the giveaway chapter on my desktop browser and noticed I could use only 2000 Characters.
"that's okay I am sure it around 1500, it cant be that big,"
I copy the story only to find out I had manged to type a 3000+ words story in the comments section.
I really wanted to post it so here I am. I will be adding this URL to the Giveaway comment section.
Shaun I hope this is actually as funny as it is to me right now!! And i win the Giveaway!!

My worst Christmas memory.
Around 8 to 10 yrs ago, back when I was a little kid I would decorate and built something especial each year in one corner of my house. We live so close to the equator we can't use a Christmas tree even if we wanted. We don't really keep Christmas trees here . Back then it was even rarer. Me and my sister, we would builds a village in a corner with different tools sometimes ice cream sticks for houses and dolls for the villagers . This particular time I had decided to make it snow so I covered the entire village and the living room's corner with pure white cotton. It looked beautiful like inside a snow globe. Every year on the day my elder sister would read a prayer at midnight and we would light a candle then sit there for a while and then go off to sleep.
This year we were extra careful not to leave the candle to close to the village. We didn't want anything to burn . I have never admitted this to anyone before but typing it out and accepting it for the first time.
Mindfully we kept the candle on a separate table to burn while kept an eye on it. That night we waited till it burned out at least half. While sitting there waiting I had discovered how beautiful it looks when you burn a small scattered piece of cotton. It was pretty but I wasn't going to burn the house down so I stopped after the first one.
We usually kept the decoration up until new years each year and this year I wanted to too, but what I did next caused me a lot more than few days of Christmas fun. The next day we burnt the remaining candle that we had left the previous night. And as a child that I was I wanted to see if different pieces of cotton ball behaved the same. I was just crying to learn how it burnt and why? What happened next was so quick I had no time to respond plus I was a small kid and my sister had left me alone.
I burnt my finger with the burning piece of cotton in my hand and let go as a natural reflex. The first flame caught on the mountain snow and burnt through the paper beneath it, slowing emerging bigger flames took out the ground inch by inch creeping towards the people. I ran, I had to call for help. But I knew if mom and dad found out I would be held responsible. Hell, I was responsible but I came back to my room and sad quietly Hoping someone would notice. I had my eyes out to the other room but couldn't say anything.
The fire was catching on!! I had to do something!!
"Do you smell something burning?"
My dad turned around to answer and noticed the gigantic flames in the other room burning in a corner slowing climbing up the wall.
He ran to control it, he threw water at it with buckets at a time worrying it would catch on the wooden furniture next to it and then the entire room. Carefully the fire was contained in the corner with no more damage than the lives of the small happy Christmas village people. My small Christmas tree burnt to crisp and my stuffed Santa toy left with a half burnt hat.
Everyone knew, it was me. I had caused but I denied! And if you call this out to them I still would say this is clear fiction!
I wasn't allowed to decorate anymore! I lost years of Christmas. And I still haven't all these yrs later. I hope to do it soon some day or maybe this yr I will try.
