Yoo Hye-jung (Park Shin-hye) was a headstrong girl in high school with a prickly, gangster personality. Due to her many childhood scars, Hye-jung keeps her heart closed towards other people. However, she changes after meeting her mentor Hong Ji-hong (Kim Rae-won), who plays a key role in transforming her life from a "hopeless" delinquent to a compassionate doctor. They part ways subsequently but meet again after 13 years, when Yoo Hye-jung becomes a doctor.

Review:
They show got me hooked right at the start. I wanted to know who Yoo Hye-Jung wishes to meet. and if it was the man beautiful gangster (Lee Ki-woo) before her . Maybe that was him. But she beat the crap out of him met and we got a flashback. I was still excited to find out who could it be.
I don't mind flashbacks I actually like them. We find out about Yoo Hye-Jung the smart but troubled child. I love park Park Shin-Hye min. She goes as amazing job as a teenager and as the neurosurgeon.

There is the sweet respectable teacher Hong Ji Hong. A doctor who lost his parents in a car accident at a young age got adopted by a neurosurgeon and became a neurosurgeon. Since he had an issue during an operation he decided to take up teaching for a while. And there is our cutest Jin Seo-woo (Lee Sung-Kyung). I just love her, so happy to see her in Doctors. Even though she is a bitch in the show I could never really hate her, I knew she would do something good and make things right again.
Hye-Jung becomes a better student who wants to graduate and run her grandma's dinner and life a long happy life. But things change when her grandmother dies during on table during a simpler (comparatively) stomach tumor operation. To prove the doctor made an error and to make him apologize 13 years later Hye-Jung comes back to the same hospital as a fellow Neurosurgeon.

Once I kinda got over the fact that there was almost a decade of the age difference between the two, not that it is wrong I started to like them as a couple. According to the flashback, there are two aspects to the shows, one she wants revenge, two the love story between Ji Hong and Hye Jung.
There are subplots to the story, like Seo-woo's friendship, the hospital ownership, and patients that come and go. Between all of this, the show seems to forget a few things like what happened to Cheon Soon-hee – Hye-jung's best friend after the accident and introduce more than a few things on it own like Choi's webtoon.
And, Where is the dog, I was waiting so badly for him to show up all grown in 13 years. No sign of the dog, being part of every scene in the house he is nowhere to be seen 13 yrs later.

I was more attached to some of the other characters more than leads. like Lee Sang-yeob, Choi Kang-soo (Kim Min-seok), and Seo-woo.
The takes too long to reach the revenge conclusion which actually does not take place. The love story does give you satisfaction was watching a good show, but that wasn't enough.
You literally have to watch the show until the end to understand the purpose of it. 'you have to wait till the end to find out what life wants to teach you.' - Hye Jung's says towards the end of the show.
Verdict: teaches you the meaning of Life! How we struggle, live, love, waste away our years only to find the truth in the end.
Justice is served with a side of Karma. *** stars.
