Review:

After watching the trailer I was excited to see this one because it was a story based in Mumbai and it didn't seem like it had any ulterior movies.

But I was wrong. Not that the movie is bad, I liked it.

From the first scene to the end, it is clear what the film wants to talk about. A cause for unsung heroes of our justice system, but the makers conveniently forget about it all through out the middle. Focusing on, Radhika the frustrated PR, Siddhant the Peon, and Akshay the annoying sweet gentleman the film take flight into a chaotic day bringing them all together for the cause.

Bombairiya catches the glimpse of Mumbai perfectly. The policewalas, local businesses, small streets and the beach views constantly remind us of the city. Like the busy lives we all live, everyone in the film has their own version of the truth and their own problems to look at.

The director Pia Sukanya and cinematographer Karthik Ganesh takes the credit for bringing the film to life.

If you look at the characters in the film, Siddhanth Kapoor really surprised me. I haven't watched his previous film but here he manages to be the bad guy and the good guy at the same time with such ease. Akshay Oberoi on the other hand comes off as the gentlemen, who is sweet to the extent of annoying borderlining a creep. And Radhika Apte is just herself, with a back story.

The film also uses false leads and leaves a few things unexplained which could confuse the viewer, making the film look more of a mess.

Where the film falls in place managing the chaos it has created. It gives us some of the best scenes in the film but it also takes away the true meaning of the film which conveniently appears towards only the beginning and the end.

Since Bombairiya spans over only a day's time, there is hardly any back story given to us regarding the villains in the film. Which they cover up with a narration at the end and life just goes on in a world where, Akshay follows Radhika everywhere like a annoying puppy. (puppies can't be annoying but this one is)

The film created with a pure intention to say something while entertaining the audience end ups with a story that can either entertain or support the cause.

Verdict: It had some issues but I enjoyed it. I think you will too.
