Underworld: A Rip-off
Since Blood Wars is coming out soon, a recap is in order considering the original movies are quite old, my age was in single digit when the first movie came out.
Most of us wont have the courage to watch them again so here is a recap with a whiff of sarcasm stating everything obvious, sad and normal about the story.

Selena the lead is a turned vampire who was taught to hate Lycans by her vamp dady.(because they wanted people to see it different from the vampire-werewolf genre. didn't work though eventually they stopped using the word Lycan)
There has been a war between the two breeds of monsters for centuries due to something that she does not quite know until she meet Michale Corvin. Who is a bitten Lycan aka a werewolf. Corvin is a direct descendant who is capable of hosting both werewolf and vampire genes. They fall in love more like because the script demands it. they find out the war started because of her vamp father killed his daughter didn't like the mixed breed that was brewing in her womb from her Lycan boyfriend i.e. the antagonist in the movie. turns out her only family the royal vamp had killed her family blamed it on Lycans and turned her only because she reminded him of his dead daughter.
She saves her true love Michale Corvin by turning him into the mixed breed and together they kill the oh so elite royal vamp father. The End with a voice over.

The story continues exactly the way you imagine it would in a TV show right where you left. They are on a run, cuz they killed the oldest vampire and everyone is hunting them. The movies dives into some of the original story of Alexander Corvinus who is the father of first Vampire and Lycan. You would imagine he to be ruthless and hideous looking, he adopts a business like life and looks pretty normal. Since the movie has to make the last fight difficult with Marcus the other original, they had to make the protagonist stronger thus, she is given Alexander's blood that makes her a day walker, which isn't really helpful with the fight.
That's all there is to it, Corvin almost dies but comes back after 10-15 mins because he had nothing better to do.

3rd movie is a prequel to a prequel! Evolution is the back story to why and how the war started. They wanted to continue the series and couldn't find anything other than the archive footage from the first movie and decided to make it into a movie. To be honest, I skipped through it. I just didn't have the strength to go through with all of it all over again.

Then comes the last released movie Underworld Awakening, they had to drag Theo James in it. Failed attempt to make it better. It did make me want to watch after the pre-prequel but even he didn't fit right in the whole 'I am a vampire' getup.
You would think what is possibly left more to happen but just so you know even after awakening and Blood wars coming soon they are already world on the next story line for continuation .
So the last movie starts with a story of what happened for 13 years with a footage of humans killing people that they think are either vampire of werewolves since they found out them and don't trust the new species. Selene is captured by Antigen a corporation that is trying to make a sure. Selene has to save this little girl which is her daughter btw, because lycans are after them again. There are so many things in this movie that do not make sense.
One, the entire story has nothing to do with the purge.
Two, just because they use the hybrid child to create vaccine to be immune from silver how does he get so huge? how??
Three, the entire movie feels like a filler episode.
Any how like a video game that it is she fits this huge Lycan and saves the day for Vampires.
Some how all Medicine and supernatural help falls in the hands of Lycans and Vamps are left alone defending themselves.
Which will change in the Blood Wars 5th movie since she becomes a new breed of Vampire with blue hair according to the trailer.
I was really excited to watch this new movie but after watching the old ones I kinda want to enter with neutral feelings so I don't come out completely disappointed.
