Review:

Andhadhun that comes with a parental guidance is more than just a suspense thriller, a story about a blind pianist, or saying karma is the best revenge. The Sri Ram Raghavan directorial keeps you guessing and glued to the screen.
The film starts with Ayushman Khurana aka Akash a pianist who is practicing for a competition in London. At the beginning, he says, 'Everyone knows the problems of being blind but let me tell you one good thing, focus for which artists go crazy.' You may not know what it means at first but halfway you will see more meaning in it and everything else in the film.
Ayushmann plays Akash and gels into the film's twists to brings a character with depth, natural emotions, and a complete character. There are moments when you see his vulnerability in the smallest of scenes, his complete trust in people around him, and also the bad reasoning within him. Other important characters in the film include Radhika Apte as Sophie who is a simple woman who falls for Akash's charms and brings him into the story.

Tabu who plays Mrs.Sinha is unapologetic about anything that she does and looks beautiful in every scene whether she is cooking in the kitchen, pretending to be a good mother, or walking Akash over someone's dead body (not a spoiler, it's in the trailer). Tabu surprises you with her character and her choices.
The second half slows down and derails a bit complicating the dynamics of the film when it already has the audience engaged. But the climax of the film brings new light to Akash's life. Which he eventually toes out of the window and goes back to the one at the start with just an experience to boast about.

What makes the film a great watch is it keeps you engaged, it's not just the acting or watching Ayushmann convince you he is blind but also the direction, screenplay, background score that limits your view to only the screen. The 139 minutes long movie makes you laugh, cringe, suspect everyone and think your ass off.
Verdict: This unapologetic killer film has nothing to do with the protagonist. I could argue the film has no lead character at all per say, just told from Akash's point of view.
