Black Clover Volume 4 : *** stars

Japan | Manga | Fantasy | Action | Drama

Written by: Yūki Tabata

Release: December 4, 2015

Chapters: 26 to 34

Plot: (Good reads)

A mysterious hostile group launches an attack on the royal city. Aster and the knights-mages must intervene to repel the enemy. But faced with a tough and well organized opponent, the situation takes an unexpected turn.

Review:

This volume didn't excite me much. Volume 4 just functions as a set up for the main plot which will probably take more than a few chapters.

The new characters included gave a better sense as to how powerful the knights actually are. Especially the captains. The world has become bigger with intro to possibly a better villain.

With more information and characters of the Silva family, they dove more into Noelle and her past, which was a good treat. Aster found a new companion and a rival in form on Leopold Vermillion. I don't think that will sit well with Yuno but, we haven't see how he will react to it.

But I am more excited for the next volume.

That right there is Cece, and every other thing that I love.

And just like her, I am always sitting in a corner somewhere with my head stuck in a book or a show.
